Admissions Process

Only complete applications are processed for assessment. An application is deemed complete only if the following are met:

  • completion of on-line application form
  • payment of application fee, and
  • submission of all supporting documents.

Applying (submitting your application)

Step1: Fill up and submit the Online Application Form

Use our online application system to apply (and after applying, to also check your application status). The system walks you through the required steps. Your completed application should demonstrate strong intellectual capability, solid career progression, professional achievements and leadership or potential to be one.

The essay questions are an important part of your application and you should articulate your thoughts clearly. It is important to answer all the essay questions, using good judgment with respect to the required length (limit on the number of words).

If you are applying for a scholarship , simply tick on the box relating to the scholarship you are applying for. There is no separate application form for scholarships at this time.

Step2: Pay the Application Fee & Mode of Payment

After clicking the submit button to submit your application, you will be prompted to pay the application fee of S$80. It may be paid via one of the following modes:

  • Cheque / bank draft payable to ‘Nanyang Technological University’. Your full name and address must be written on the reverse side of the cheque / bank draft.  For international applicants, please pay by bank draft with clearing bank in Singapore.
  • Via Visa / Mastercard.

Please note that the application fee is non-refundable and an application received without attached payment will not be processed.

Step3: Submit your supporting documents (upload when applicable)

NOTE: Upload ALL applicable supporting documents (except referee’s reports which need to be sent from your referees’ official work e-mail address) by clicking the link on the on-line application form.

Supporting Documents Required Remarks
1 Resume or CV Concise document no more than 3 pages, briefly explaining the description of your responsibilities and your accomplishments
2 Passport-size photo Most recent Color photo required (send in  high resolution jpeg format)
3 GMAT score report/ GRE score report Send test scores to Nanyang Business School -The institution code for GMAT score submission for Nanyang is V24-ZV-13. Or initially you can upload a scanned copy of your Unofficial or test taker copy. We also accept GRE scores. The GRE DI Code is 3802
4 English proficiency report TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language; institution code 9705 for Nanyang). IELTS score (International English Language Testing System), or PTE (Pearson Test of English Academic) Upload a scanned copy of your test scores. Applicants are required to take one of these tests if English was not the medium of instruction used at tertiary level (bachelors). A good command of English language, including proficiency in reading, writing and speaking is a must.
5 Two (2) Referees Reports/Recommendation letters[Download Referee Report Form here] 1.Download the official referees’ report form.
2.Send to your referees to fill up.
3.Your referees will then send to us the completed referrees’ reports, via email to mba.admissions@ntu.edu.sg using the referees official (company) e-mail address, indicating designation and contact details of the referees . Reports submitted in other format will not be considered. As these are sent by your referees, please check and follow up with them if they have sent us via e-mail the referees reports.
6 Company Approval [Download Company Approval Form] (Applies to part-time MBA applicants only). Scan and upload.
7 Other Supporting Documents Required :the scanned copies will be uploaded  by the applicant in the on line application system Upload Scanned copies of the following :
a. Degree Scroll(s)  or certificates, and Transcript(s) of academic records from each university attended (must be in English, otherwise an official English translation must be provided);b. Professional Membership Certificates, if anyc. NRIC / Passport / Citizenship Certificate / Documentary proof of nationality whichever is applicable.Note : If you are a Singapore Permanent Resident , aside from identification , please submit your Re-entry Permitd. Documentary evidence of Immigration Pass (e.g. Employment Pass or   Dependant’s Pass) issued by the Singapore Immigration &  Checkpoints Authority (ICA).Note : This applies only to foreign applicants,  working or living in Singapore.

Important Notice: Please note that the University has not arranged for any external private agencies to undertake graduate student recruitment on its behalf. Candidates interested in enrolling into NTU graduate programmes are advised to apply directly to the University and not through any agents. There are no added merits for admission applications submitted by candidates who apply through agents. The University reserves the right to reject such applications without giving reasons.
