International student admitted to the programme

Congratulations to being offered admission to The NANYANG MBA.

We are looking forward to having you with us as much as you look forward to The NANYANG MBA experience. As you prepare for your way to Singapore, you may wish to check out some of the useful information here.

Medical & Health

All international participants whose period of study at NTU is more than six months are required to undergo the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Tuberculosis (TB) medical tests. For new applicants, the medical test can be done either in Singapore or overseas using the official medical form provided by ICA. If you choose to do it in your home country, please note that it is up to the doctors here and also ICA whether they find it acceptable. If it is not, you will have to re-do it. As such, we recommend that you do it here at NTU Medical Centre.

For renewal applicants, the medical examination may be done by any Singapore-registered doctor.

The medical report should not be issued more that 3 months ago at the time of submission to ICA. If a medical report has been submitted to ICA not more than 2 years ago, there is no need to re-submit a new medical report.

A medical centre, Gethin-Jones Medical Practice Pte Ltd, is available on campus. It is located at the South Spine, beside the Main Lecture Theatre. You may wish to take note of the opening hours:

The opening hours of the Medical Centre during term-time are:

Mon to Thurs:    0830hrs to 1730hrs (last registration at 1700hrs)

Fri:                   0830hrs to 1700hrs (last registration at 1630hrs)

Sat:                  0930hrs to 1230hrs (last registration at 1200hrs)

For any enquiries, you could call them directly at (65) 6793-6974 or (65) 6793-6828.

The issuance of the Student's Pass to international participants by Immigration & Checkpoints Authority is subject to the HIV and TB medical tests. International participants who fail any of the above medical examinations will not be admitted to the University and will be repatriated to their home country at their own costs.

Health Insurance

It is compulsory for all full-time international participants to subscribe to the Group Hospital and Surgical Insurance (GHSI) Scheme arranged by the University upon registering for admission. This is to ensure that they will be covered financially in the event of medical emergencies that require hospitalisation or surgery. The insurance participation form will be given to participants during registration.
