CAREER PROFESSIONALS @ The NANYANG MBA
The NANYANG MBA Career Center comprises of 2 ex-Executive Search professionals, and 1 part-time executive search assistant. Their main objective is to enable the MBA Alum to identify, prepare and "successfully fit" the right management career challenges across the growth industry sectors around the globe.
The Head of the Career Center is David T.K LIM, Chartered Psychologist
David is a Chartered Psychologist (accredited by the British Psychological Society), and has been in executive search and management consulting for more than 20 years. He worked in this capacity with KPMG Consulting, AT Kearney Management Consulting, and most recently, Sterling HR Consulting.
Throughout his executive search career, he has assisted global MNC s in Asia search and recruit top professionals across a wide variety of industry sectors, namely, InfoComm Technology, Life Sciences, Manufacturing and Distribution, Real Estate, and Financial Services. In terms of Management Consulting, he has been responsible for leading Human Resource and Organisation Development and Transformation Projects across Asia for a variety of industry sectors.
David was also an Adjunct Associate Professor with School of EEE, College of Engineering, NTU, teaching the HRM Module, and was a local lecturer for Distance Learning Programmes for overseas Universities, such as Cranfield MBA, Bradford MSc (HRM) from the UK, and Wollongong (MSc – IT) from Australia. He has also given many career advisory talks and seminars to academia, as well as directly to organisations.
In all, he is familiar with business and hiring trends and practices across Asia, and has an existing network of search firms in the US and Europe.
Christine LAM, Career Manager
Christine (Chris) LAM is a graduate from University of London Programme (Bachelor of Science in Management) with a Diploma in Biotechnology from Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
She started her career in executive recruitment in year 2004, in the Banking & Finance Sector. She was also the Branch Manager for DRAKE International, Singapore, responsible for business profitability, strategy, operations and the consultants. Her most recent position was Associate Director in Sterling Human Resources, US multinational firm, where her focus was the real-estate industry.
Prior to her years in executive search, she served as Director of Amdon Consulting Pte Ltd (Life Sciences Education Provider) and built the business regionally in Hong Kong & Malaysia. Her involvement include business development, Human Resources, Group Finance, education program & designer & implementer.

Karen LOW, Senior Career Consultant
Karen graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science Degree (Estate Management).
She has worked as a Human Resource practitioner in a managerial capacity with companies such as Apple Computer and MTV Asia since 1988. In addition, she has worked in various capacities in several other sectors including Banking, Education and Retail.
After a career break to focus on her family, she returned to work in executive search and market research at Futurestep (a subsidiary of Korn Ferry, primarily looking at mid management and above positions). She then joined Sterling Human Resources where she focused on recruiting top professionals for the industry sectors of Life Sciences, Manufacturing and Distribution, Real Estate and InfoComm Technology across Asia.
