The NANYANG MBA plays host to Chinese MBA students from top business schools in China

30 MBA students from top Chinese business schools visited The NANYANG MBA on 26 October 2009, under the ‘The China MBA Experience @ Singapore’ programme. This week-long study visit is an initiative from Contact Singapore and is in its third year running, and aims to attract these potential foreign talent to work, invest and live in Singapore.
The 30 delegates hail from top universities all over China, namely Beijing University, Tsinghua University, CEIBS, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University and other top MBA schools. They have been handpicked based on their CVs, work experience, relevance to FIs in Singapore, interest to work in Singapore as well as their English competency through stringent interviews.
Their visit here would also include trips to various companies to better understand key developments in Singapore’s economic landscape, as well as familiarize themselves with companies who are interested in hiring top-tier Chinese MBA talent. Some of these companies include Keppel, CapitaLand and Bloomberg, amongst others.
The NANYANG MBA arranged for a special seminar for their visit, by Professor Shlomo Maital - world-renowned expert in Innovation Management, and Academic Director at the Technion Institute of Management (Israel). Professor Maital was a visiting professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management for 20 years.
The current batch of The NANYANG MBA students were also present to interact with the delegates and engaged them in this stimulating session, exchanging valuable insights and contacts over a scrumptious lunch.
