1.   How can I get a copy of your application package?

2. How many intakes do you have per year?

The main intake is at the start of academic year in July.
Admission in Trimester 2 (November) is on request.


3.   How much is the application fee?

S$50.
Please pay online or by cheque. For international participants, please pay online or a bank draft with the clearing bank in Singapore and not by cheque.


4.   What is the application deadline?

There are three deadlines for July intake as follow:

Round 1 : 30 Nov 2008
Round 2 : 15 Jan 2009
Round 3 : 31 Mar 2009

5.   Do you offer a general MBA programme?

Yes. We also offer Specialised MBAs in Accountancy, Finance, International Business, Marketing, Strategy Technology, International Studies & Knowledge Management.


6.    What are the admission requirements?
  1. A good bachelor's degree
  2. At least two years of management, professional or other relevant experience (after graduating with a bachelor's degree) at the time of admission.
  3. A good GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) score
  4. A good TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score if English was not the medium of instruction at tertiary level

7.   Is this full-time or part-time programme?

We offer both full-time and part-time programmes.


8.   Can MBA (Accountancy) graduates qualify for ICPAS?

Yes, you are also eligible for application to CPA Australia.


9.   What is GMAT?

Graduate Management Admission Test. It is a test to assess the qualifications of applicants for advanced study in business and management. For complete information, please visit their website or e-mail. Please note that our NTU code no isV24-ZV-13.


10.   What is the acceptable score for GMAT?

600 and above.


11.   Is GMAT compulsory?

Yes, it will only be waived for very exceptional cases. Therefore, you are strongly advised to take the GMAT early so as not to delay the processing of your applications. The institution code for NTU is V24-ZV-13. A good GMAT score will be viewed favourably in the assessment of the application.

* A GMAT score of above 600 is compulsory for application to the Double Masters Programmes.


12.   Can I submit my application first without a GMAT score report?

Yes, you may do so and send in the report later as soon as it is available.


13.    How long is my GMAT score valid?

5 years.


14.   Is the unofficial GMAT score acceptable?

Yes. Please also mail us the official score once you receive it.


15.   What is an acceptable TOEFL score?

At least 600 for paper-based, 250 for computer-based and above 100 for internet-based tests. The institution code is 9705.


16.   Will you accept the GRE score?

Yes. This is provided that your country does not have a GMAT test centre, or you had taken the test earlier. The test score has to be valid at the time of your application


17.   What is the duration of your MBA programme?

Full-time participants are given 4 trimesters (16 months) and part-time participants are given 8 trimesters (32 months) to complete the coursework. There are 3 trimesters in an academic year.


18.   What is your academic calendar like?

There are 3 trimesters (July-November, November-February, March-June) in one academic year.

19.   How much is your programme fees?

For Academic Year 2009/2010, the programme fee is $40,000 for full-time, payable over 4 trimesters and $38,000 for part-time, payable over 6 trimesters.

There is a S$1,000 enrolment fee payable upon acceptance of the offer of admission.


20.   Is there a age limit for entry to your programme?

We do not impose any age limit.


21.   Where are the classes conducted?

The classes are either conducted at the main campus in Jurong or the downtown Executive Centre at one-north (off North Buona Vista Road).

22.   What are your selection criteria?

The four factors we consider are:
- Academic qualifications
- Working experience
- Personal essays and referee reports
- Interview, if shortlisted (in person for local applicants and via phone or in person for foreign applicants)


23.   When will I receive a decision on my application?

Your application will be processed as soon as we receive it. Shortlisted candidates will be notified for interview in batches. You may check your application status online here


24.   How big is your intake?

We do not set a quota for that.


25.   Will you consider me if I have a professional qualification only (e.g. ACCA)? Why?

No, it is the university policy that we cannot consider applicants without a bachelor's degree for postgraduate studies.


26.   What is the GCE "A" certificate or its equivalent?

It is a pre-university qualification for entrance to a bachelor's degree programme.


27. Do you have any scholarships or financial aids?
